Chapter 2 [Build Up]

Tara walked outside. Seeing Fire approaching, she signaled him, attempting to tell him that things were not okay in the tent.

Shinyo said to everyone, "Ok so Echo is able to fight without seeing and so is Tara. I personally have been also training to adapt to darkness but I cannot chant my spells now since I need the exact page of my book for the summon." Viola said, "Part of my Bosonojutsu training allows me to detect sound waves, so if invisibility is in play, I can help detect her plus I can fight without need of eyesight."

Shinyo nodded his head and said, "Alright lets split up. Here guys, if you find her, use these to transmit a signal to everyone else." Shinyo then handed everyone a small ball of energy and he and Viola put their energy speakers in their ears. Shinyo also said, "These also cancel sound attacks so no need to worry bout them." Shinyo and Viola said bye to the others and they walked off to near the park.

As the group conversed and searched the premises, a sudden whistle was heard at the big top. Standing on top of it, was Marideth, wielding a parasol. Giggling, she jumped down onto the ground below, cushioning her fall by changing her legs into slight springs before changing them back.

"Looking for lil' ol' me?" Marideth tilted her head and smiled, her hair falling to the same side she tilted her head.

Tara turned to her. "It would be in your best interest to change these people back before I impale you. I don't want to, so I'm giving you a chance."

Jaden quickly dashed so he was behind Marideth "Yes...we suggest you let those people go from the sleep you put them in, otherwise there are gonna be problems"

Firebreath saw Tara and he gave a little tilt, he was confused "What?" He said. He entered the tent, he saw a blond looking woman that was cute to him "Oohooo who's this little cutie"

Marideth wagged her finger, her parasol over her shoulder.

"I'm afraid I can't do that. See, that's the best part about a magician's tricks; they're shrouded in mystery and, sadly, permanent. The only ones who can wake them are themselves I'm afraid. If they have a strong will, then they'll wake up no problem. But if they doooon't...weeeell..." She mimicked a knife cutting her throat and made a "bleh" sound before giggling.

Alanna takes the balls of energy and puts them on her ears.

"HAHA! You look hilarious with those things!" Lilac starts to laugh rapidly "Its funny because I don't need those." She then adds.

Alanna ignored what Lilac said completely and moved inside the tent, attempting to move herself into a good position for her to shoot Marideth.

Echo just facepalms, shaking her head.

"Guys. Can we agree to sacrifice Firebreath?"

Tara growled. "So you put innocent people to sleep for your own enjoyment, and now you can't change them back? You're sick."

"Urrghh, this girls personality doesnt fit her appearance, woah" Firebreath managed to say bringing his hands up and backing away not wanting any of that. He started to see the others and he brought his hand up with a heart warming smile "Hey guys, whats up, why the serious faces?" He asked.

Jaden looked serious "Marideth I'm afraid we are going to need to take you into custody, you are under arrest"Jaden slowly walked towards her a small smile on the corner of his lips

Tara slapped a hand over his eyes. "See the people? She put them to sleep. Don't look in her eyes." She uncovered his eyes again and stared back at Marideth.

Once Alanna heard the words "You are under arrest." She started to take aim at Marideth. And with no delay she fired a tranquilizer dart at her, avoiding eye contact.

Echo groaned, walking up to the tent slowly. She tilted her head up, watching the flow of the ring leader's aura.

"Come down. It's highly unlikely you'll be able to stop us from killing you."

"Oooh, I don't want to be under arrest. I can't perform in prison." With a flash of her eye, a circle of black fire surrounded Marideth's position, blocking the others off from her. With a giggle, she vanished into the fire.

"Bye bye! We'll meet again soon I hope!"

Tara turned away.

"Well, I can't say I wasn't expecting something like that to happen."

Jaden closed his eyes trying to sense her presence but not being able to "Damn she is gone.." he looked at everyone "We need to report to HQ and let them know of this"

"Well, what do we do about them?" Tara gestured towards the civilians.

"He looked up to see the woman dissapear with the black fire, that kinda gave him a chubby but it went away quickly now that Firebreath started noticing the type of situation he walked into "You know i thought today was gonna be a good day, a damn week we go with nothing happened" Firebreath complained.

Jade sighs "These damn kids get weirder and weirder. I swear." She says, lighting a cigarette.

Tara turned to Jade. "Just so you know, it might be a good idea to lay off of those. They're not good for you."

"Fuck I missed!" Alanna states quietly to herself as she noticed that she vanished. "Welp, that was exciting." Alanna states having used some energy to fire the shot as she moves out of position and casually goes back to the group. [49/50]

Kiru walked up to where everyone had gathered having missed everything "Yo! What's all the commotion about?"

Jade laughs. "It is habit, what can I say?" she says taking a puff. "Anyway, looks like we have a new person to add to the wanted list."

"I'm suprized your not on there for blowing up a town" Faith says

"Your never gonna let that go, are you?"
