Chapter 2 [Build Up]

Jaden smiles and wraps an arm around Echo's shoulder while looking at everyone "Who is up for icecream!?"

after the fight shina had walked over to Klaus and said "hay... look that spar back there may have goten out of hand a bit...sorry"

''Hmm,''said Klaus as he closes his book,''Its alright.''

Echo chuckled, shaking her head.

"I know very well you wouldn't kill me. But in a real fight, a fight of two enemies... well, let's just say I probably wouldn't be healthy a d standing." Echo nodded after this at Jaden, grinning.

"You can never go wrong with ice cream."

Marideth raised her hand, hopping up and down.

"I like ice cream! I'll treat you guys! Let's go!"

Jaden smiled happily "Okay let's go!" Starts walking towards the icecream parlor with Echo and Marideth, waving everyone to come along

"Ugh fuck, why the hell not.. " Kiru decided to follow the children.

Seeing everyone go together has Klaus tempted to go with them, but he doesn't follow them and choses to go his own way. Headings towards a dark alley Klaus stops there to think.

Gajeel sighed, no being alone again. He decided to follow Tara's scent into the mountains to finally get some time alone with her. He strapped on a hunting knife and headed off.

Tara was meditating on one of the shorter mountains when she saw Gajeel. She quickly slid down the mountain.

"Hello. How have you been?"

"Bored. I have no one to talk to. Maybe you can help? No one else is around..." He smiled and looked around. "Did I interrupt something? I'm sorry." His ears lowered.

"No, it's alright. I was pretty much done anyways. So, what's going on?"

Jaden smiled when they arrived at the parlor, ordering two vanilla ice cream cones for him and Echo while moving aside so the others can order

Marideth handed the cashier the money for her ice cream and sat down at a nearby table. Licking her lips, she started digging into her favorite flavor: Mint Chocolate Chip.

"I haven't had this since I was little. Ironic considering I own a carnival." Marideth laughed a bit before eating more of the ice cream.

"Nothing." He sighed and scratched himself behind the head. "I don't know what to do right now. I just wanted to spend some time with you."

"Alright then." Tara said, blushing slightly. "By the way, I have something for you."

She quickly summons a sword out of her pocket dimension and hands it to Gajeel. It was sparking with lightning and had a faint glow around it.

"It's got 2 enchantments. The first one charges you while you're holding it, so you can fight without running out of power. The second one brings it to you if you lose it or forget it."

He looked at the sword in awe. His ears raised straight up, seeming a bit shocked that he was receiving a gift, in fact, this was his first gift. "A...gift?" He took the sword and felt the running currents of electricity from it. "I...I've never received a gift from someone. Thank you." He smiled, his tail involuntarily wagging in excitement and content.

"Well, you gave me something, I figured it was only fair if you were to receive something from me as thanks." Tara gave him a smile.

He smiled back and put the sword into a sheath on his back. With it still in his possession he would stay charged. Walked up to her and wrapped his arms around the girl in a tight hug. "Thanks for that."

Kiru ordered he ice cream, oddly enough she shared a favorite with Marideth. Instead of sitting with the others she walked over to the river, resting against a tree.

Tara was stunned but she awkwardly placed her arms around him as well as compensation. "You're welcome."

Marideth looked over at Kiru as she walked out but shrugged it off.

"So...Where is your commander anyway? I heard I need to speak with him if I want to join your team."

Jaden looked up with a smile "Just talk with my dad, I'm sure he will let you join if you swear loyalty to the force"

He pulled back a bit and stared at her with slight embarrassment. "Sorry..." His face flushed slightly, feeling like he did something wrong.
