Chapter 7: [The Keystone] (Read Everything)

Gajeel could feel the aura from Fire. It didn't feel like his friend, so he chose to not treat him as such. "As if that's someone I'd care about. That isn't Fire. The Fire I know is dead, and his soul has moved on. Do what you want to the body. I can care less."

Jaden blinked "uncle Fire...what did he do to you..."

"I know he does, but why should I be taking out his trash when he can do it. He knows this, he just want to treat us like garbage, so he makes us dispose of his." He shrugged, seeming to be noticabely annoyed.

Jaden looked at Zarest "You handle him Zarest"

Cobra started to fall back asleep again, nothing of this really intrested him to the degree that he would pay attention.

(Intelligence)"What am i going to do with you... I shall monitor what is going on then inform you master cobra."

Zarest was still rampaging on the now nearly empty battlefield, his wild movements and reckless behavior had caused the exosuit which he had kindly borrowed from the soldier to malfunction and he was walking around freely with murderous intent leaking form him. As minutes passed by without seeing an enemy or something to cut his berserk switch slowly started to fade until the ground started to shake from the cage that Kale dropped on the ground.

He turned around and started dashing towards the cage which dropped from the sky and slashed at the metal bars with his blue blade this reduced the temperature of the metal allowing it to be easily broken by Zarest. The moment he had opened the cage he dashed in the cage not wasting a single second for his enemy's reaction, he was out for blood it didn't matter who it was but someone was going to lose a lot of it.

Jaden watches, staying on guard while waiting to make a move.

Jaden looked at the gas like this and backed away slowly, taking caution

Marideth's eyes widened as she saw the cage drop. Firebreath's eyes were the same as hers...Hollow. She knew right off the bat what he was, and realizing this, she began to laugh. As she saw Zarest cutting open the cage, her laughter grew louder and more maniacal. But once the cage was broken, she began to scream at him.

"THAT'S ENOUGH. YOU LEAVE HIM ALONE, ZAREST!" She quickly ran over and basically tackle-hugged him. She didn't want him to hurt Firebreath, but at the same time she loved Zarest. After all, he was the one who was responsible for her bond with Firebreath in the first place. Hearing the commotion, Kado and Asuya looked over and got into a defensive stance, just in case they had to actually fight.

Rex, Gajeel, and Raiden backed away, making sure to keep their wits about them. "Hmmm, we shouldn't approach him."

Jaden looked towards the others and whispered "Start thinking of a plan B ..."

The tackle from Merideth pushed Zarest further even more, while his original aim was the heart his blade now was going towards Fire's neck he did not care where he hit, as long as he hit something. He felt his blade connect and quickly pulled it back and aimed for the neck with Merideth holding him back. His eyes which were crimson a moment ago now were blood red, he had crossed the line and lost all control. He swung his blade easily while merideth still was clinging to him.

Jaden spoke. In a whisper "just think of a way out of here..."

Ruby raises her eyebrow "Why didn't you say so? I can teleport you know."

Jaden shook his head "turning ourselves in is a death sentence, we would be executed"

Jaden growled and covered sashas mouth "Shoosh! And what happens if they don't save us in time"

Gajeel held up one of his Kunai markers to Jaden to remind him, then he put it away. "Well, let's see what happens."
