Chapter 5: [Undercover]

Shinyo was interested and said, "Well pleasure to meet you Drake." Shinyo went into the kitchen to brew the Halovian Tea and he then turned to Cobra and said, "Now are you going to stand there and get blood on the floor or are you going to get out of here?"

With his eyes closed, Drake sighed.

"You speak as though I care. A lot of good your blood does when you have no heart to pump it..." Drake kept his eyes closed. Asuya rolled hers.

"Just get out. You're nothing but a nuisance."

shina walked over to the fridge and grabed a bottle of water out of it and drank some of it and said "are we going to have to kill this guy before he leaves?.."

Echo nods, circling around the robot. The sharp edges, concealed and exposed weapons, the intimidating nature of it... it was certainly frightening, although in the end, it was just a shape to Echo. A monochrome hunk of metal, incapable of feeling our living. She shrugged, looking back up at Max.

"Interesting work. I never did enjoy studying technology, however. I preferred studying psychology, sociology, and spiritual topics. I used to study a lot, actually... I've dropped many of those studies since joining the Force. A shame, really."

He stood up, sighing. He looked at Tara, a smile spreading across his face. "I'll be glad to help. Call me up whenever you need me."

(Greed) "If we had a heart"

"Fine, fine" Cobra said as he stood up."But what a terrible guest id be if i left the stain on the floor."

Cobra step in the pool of blood. The blood soon climbed up cobras leg and seeped into him.

"It was a pleasure, really. At least now i wont be treated as public enemy number one." He smiled at asuya as he reached the doorstep,"See you around, "Asuya."

Cobra kept walking

Joker grinned at Punch, "What a beautiful tiger, the sun glistens in your majestic fur! You must be Punch! I've heard so much about you, my pretty." Joker swaggered towards Punch, slowly running a finger down is chest and leaning forwards slightly. "Hmm, Yes, I suppose you could say I'm 'new game' That's not a problem, is it?"

Kiru stood in the back of the class mumbling under her breath, "Jaden is such a little shit..her breaks his word all the time, he's rash and has none of the qualities of a good leader.. He has no right to lead. Soon as class is over I'm confronting him and assuming the role of leader.."

Echo shrugged, shaking her head all the while.

"I mean, I certainly could. But we don't really have the time, and my job is on the farm for now. I probably could have looked for a job here, and probably gotten one, but what's done is done."

shina took another sip of the water and looked over at asuya with a fake grin "so, who's your friend?...."

Alanna gave Melisandra an affermative nod, allowing her to teach a lesson.

"Oh piss off Shina..." Asuya slammed the door after Cobra, Drake remaining where he was.

"I can tell from your aura, you really hate that guy, even with all of his flattery." Drake smirked a bit, but Asuya turned to him.

"Shut up, Drake, stop reading me!"

"so, drake was it?... what does asuya mean by reading her?" said shina looking over at drake now

Melissandra nodded back, walking to the front of the class. After giving a sly grin to AA and clearing her throat, she began her lesson.

"Listen up, class. Melissandra shall be teaching you now. This lesson will be about something a bit more to do with combat that spirits themselves: the flow of battle." She took a glance at the wide-eyed class, internally chuckling at their natural curiosity. Felinus or human, kids were kids.

"A battle is very much like a dance. In a dance, you must always follow through to another move, advance on your previous action. Similarly, in a battle, you must always have a follow up attack or dodge. Otherwise, you will fall quickly. Observe Melissandra." She stopped, looking at a tree rather close to the class. Her tail suddenly split to eight, shooting at the tree. She sent them flying at it, grabbing onto it before sending herself flying towards it. As she neared it, her legs began to tense, and her claws grew to hook onto the tree. The moment she was stable, the kick came loose, hitting the tree with enough for to drive a hole about halfway through. She grimaced a little in pain, but ignored it in interest of the class, and hopped away form the tree. The kids all stared, a mix of awe and fear on their faces.

"As you see, I followed up. A combo, if you will. the other option would be to attack, dodge, attack, and follow a pattern. If you cannot follow up on yourself, then you have no chance of winning a battle." She paused again, smiling widely.

"And now, the spirit part! Melissandra did not forget that. A spirit is integral to such a strategy. While in a spar you may be relying slowly on physical capabilities, a spiritual battle will pit wits, bonds, and powers in a violent clash. Do not forget, a spirit is much more capable than any single human. Trust, befriend, and use it wisely. And so ends Melissandra's lesson." Melissandra takes a quick bow before walking back to AA, hugging her close.

Cobra let out a laugh as the door slammed behind him. "Feisty"

(Greed) Wouldn't you want her to be yours master, so easily"

"No greed, not that at all. Of all my years of flattery, the girls that are the most beautiful are the ones that are hard to get. If she fell head over heals, or even flirted so soon, id loose all interest" Cobra rustles his hair. "And asuya is by far is the most interesting"

Kiru straightened at the end of Meli's lesson, "Wow, someone who understands combat! That's saying a lot when it comes to this group."

Drake shifted his eyes over to Shina. Even when he wasn't being hostile, the mere knowledge that he was watching her would cause Shina to notice her lack of energy flowing through her.

"A bird's eye sees all, and knows all."

"knows all hu?.... i dout that.." said shina punting the water bottle on the kitchen counter and turning around facing away from drake opening the fridge to look for something to eat.

Melissandra smiled, chuckling at Kiru's remark.

"Melissandra is from the Felinus clan. Much battle was studied there. While the clan may have been loving and caring, the wild is unforgiving. Children were taught to combat from a young age, and spirit users were revered as masters of the claw."

"You doubt my power like you doubt your ability to keep your demon at bay..." Drake's tone of voice stayed exactly the same as he spoke.

"You feign emotions, not because you are afraid of them, but because this demon of yours has them under lockdown. He has complete control over you and that scares you, because you know it is getting more and more difficult to keep him at bay...especially when my eye is locked on you."

when drake started talking shina almost froze in place motionless. she moved her head so she can look over her shoulder slightly looking at drake a emotionless expression on her face. she said nothing

Gajeel could hear the class lesson perfectly. He nodded, walking into the class. "It's true. Now there's only three very experienced combatants then. I have no idea how Jaden's leader though. His dad died, so he somehow assumes the position for no reason even though when I fought his father he literally couldn't touch me, and I used my bare hands."

Gajeel could sense Tara's emotion. He looked over at her. "He isn't ready yet. He's too young and too inexperienced. He's a good kid, but he is not suited for leader just yet. He needs to see how bad his father really was in order to improve, because all he's doing is trying to mirror his very image. Tara, look at the past. What has Jaden, as a leader, really accomplished? Nothing, and he still calls himself that. He just needs growing room, is all." He whispered in her ear, making sure no one could hear him but the immediate small group around him.
