Chapter 5: [Undercover]

Jaden stood still, staring straight ahead "I'll save you...I promise" he spoke to himself before running the laps again, this time running even faster as he clenched his teeth together "LEADERSHIP TO ME MEANS DUTY, HONOR, COUNTRY. IT MEANS CHARACTER, AND IT MEANS LISTENING FROM TIME TO TIME!" Jaden yelled while running

Shinyo noticed this and yelled, "THAT IS CORRECT!!! Leadership to me means duty, honor, country. It means character, and it means listening from time to time. You cannot make all the choices of combat by yourself. That is a death sentence. You must learn to control your inner want of anger and destruction for the enemy. A good leader does not just simply lead. He takes advice as well."

"Now continue the rest of your laps with flight at your fastest speed and while reciting the rules of Leadership, practice throwing your daggers into these dummies!!! I will judge skill by accuracy!!!" Shinyo then stepped on a pad to revel dummies.

"This training is less intense than the training I went through when I was five..." Gajeel sighed, sitting down and watching Jaden. "Baby steps I guess."

Alanna goes over to Shinyo. "Want me to fuckin spar him?" She generously offers, shaking her hair to reveal her choker.

Kiru shrugged, rather unimpressed by Jaden's training, "been there, done that," She then looked over at Gajeel, "I've done THAT too so dont go thinking you're special."

In the darkness of the Void, Asuya sat, her eyes glued to the nothingness that was the ground she was upon. Behind her, Willow giggled and rested her hands on Asuya's shoulders.

"You're home, now, baby sister...no more working two jobs...no more being stuck with lackluster teammates and their pathetic leader...No more boring, overdramatic love stories that will only end in failure...No more. All you have to look forward to, is Darkness..." Willow stood up and looked at Drake, who had his eyes closed the entire time.

"So Drake...where will you go now?" Willow crossed her arms over her chest. Drake shrugged.

"Wherever I want...I'll keep traveling the world until someone manages to beat me in a swordfight. Until then, I'll go wherever the wind takes a raven..." Without opening his eyes, he embraced Willow and Asuya in a hug and sighed.

"It was great seeing you again, cousins...I hope we'll meet again soon." With a smile, Willow opened another shroud to let Drake out of the Void, dropping him off at their old home town. Waving, Drake began to walk until the shroud closed up. He was gone.

Jaden started flying the rest of the way, going at Mach 8 while he threw daggers, hitting the dummies in their vital area's each time, he gritted his teeth and started yelling " No man will make a great leader who wants to do it all himself or get all the credit for doing it!"

Shinyo nods and says, "Alright. And I want you to go Lilac strength on him. but let me give him his next exercise." Shinyo says, "Enough. Now for 2nd exercise. Jaden, you will go to the bottom of this cliff and me and Connor will start rolling boulders down. You cannot avoid them. You must destroy them with your fists. Do this 100 times while reciting the rules of leadership!!!"

"I never said how intense my training was. You'd get a challenge from it too." He sighed and put his hand to his chin, being utterly bored.

Alanna then goes over to where Sasha was sitting. "You might get to see your teacher fuckin fight." She says as she then leaves. She then goes back to where Shinyo is.

Jaden quickly flies down to the bottom of the cliff, dropping his daggers and reading himself to punch the boulders

Alanna had made sure that Quicksilver was readied in its pistol form. If she was going to be using Lilac's powers, it probably would have been best to have a fire arm on her, just in case anything went wrong.

Shinyo and Connor commenced the rolling of the boulders. These boulders were made to be the size of a wreaking ball. As they started, the first 4 boulders broke easily. Connor and Shinyo then rolled more boulders down onto Jaden. 2 at a time.

"Hey Shinyo, make him punch Tungsten instead of boulders. Boulders are too easy to break." He chuckled, yawning from being bored.

Jaden started punching the boulders as they came down, breaking them easily and making sure he wasn't troubled as he yelled. "Hold yourself responsible for a higher standard than anybody expects of you. Never excuse yourself!" After getting about halfway done, jaden's knuckles were bloody and bruised and he began taking deeper breaths, starting to slow down.

Shinyo looked at Gajeel and said, "Good idea. Connor!" Connor then had typed the commands on the Majestic to deposit 25 Tungsten Cannonballs and decided now would be the best moment to roll them and then let the 1st few roll. Shinyo saw Jaden slow down and said, "Are you slowing down?!?! Do you think our enemies would slow down when they are killing Echo, Tara, or anyone of us!?!?!"

Kiru whispered to Gajeel, "How much you willing to bet all this 'training' goes out the window the moment Tara dies?"

Jaden's eyes widened and he roared, he charged up his fist and broke the first cannonball, quickly proceeding to destroy all the other cannonballs that come down as he pants, his face serious, his hands swollen slightly.

Shinyo decided that Jaden was finished with exercise 2. Shinyo then told Jaden to fly up for Exercise 3. Shinyo then yelled into the megaphone. "EXERCISE 3! You are to battle Alanna!" Shinyo looked to Alanna and said, "Are you ready?"

"I would bet every cent, but I don't bet." He chuckled, looking at Luna. "I would laugh if one of us came in and just obliterated that training just to spite Jaden. God, and to think his father was one of the leaders. The only of the original spirit force members that seem remotely powerful to me are Luna and Raiden. Jaden is....less than on par."

He turned to Jaden. "You need the force of substance stronger than tungsten to destroy them, or else they will just bounce you out of the way. Focus your aura into your fists, making them denser and stronger. It will empower your fists much more, but since you directed most of your aura to your fists, the rest of your defense will be weaker."


He looked back at Luna. "I gave him the very most barebones basic idea of aura control possible. Let's hope he gets it right or I just will lose hope in him....again."

"A better question to be why the fuck aren't I ready." Alanna gives Shinyo a smerk, as she turns on her choker, and walks to the training area.

Jaden flew up and stood looking at Alanna, he was panting heavily and wincing from the pain in his hands as he got in a defensive position

Shinyo got back, knowing that this will get ugly. He yelled, "FIGHT!" signaling the beginning to their fight

Jaden closed his eyes and did what Gajeel had sais, focusing his aura to make his fists stronger and denser before he charges at Alanna flying above to to get the aerial advantage

Alanna creates her own set of wings out of tornadoes, and flies towards Jaden [49/50]
